Simon has now returned to the NHS as an Advanced Practice Physiotherapist. As a senior Musculoskeletal Clinician, Simon works alongside GPs and other primary care clinicians. Simon does this role part time alongside being the Clinical Lead at SB Physiotherapy. Simon is working towards completion of his Masters Degree with the Society of Musculoskeletal Medicine. In 2020 Simon completed additional qualifications to become an independent prescriber.
Alex studied Physiotherapy at St George's Medical School in London and went on to gain a number of years experience within the NHS before specialising in musculoskeletal conditions. He has continued his professional development by completing masters level modules at the University of Essex.
Alex has experience of working in elite level sport; working for numerous professional rugby clubs & academy sides across the south east of England, working with premiership level sides from diagnostics on the touchline through to return-to-play at an elite level. Alex has completed a number of Masters level modules, advancing his practice to include advanced clinical assessment, acupuncture and joint injection therapy.
Alex currently works across a number of Clinical Specialist roles within the NHS; working within a GP practice as an MSK Practitioner in Surrey and working as an Advanced Physiotherapist Practitioner in Berkshire alongside lower limb orthopaedic Consultants, utilising his advanced skills to help manage patients effectively.

Specialist Neurological Physiotherapist
“Simon from SB Physio is an extremely professional and knowledgeable physio who was highly recommended to me through work. With simple and clear explanations of the techniques he was employing I've had a 100% improvement with my shoulder problem. His communication is fantastic - everything had a full explanation of what he was doing and where my rehab was going. Thank you!.”
“I was referred to Simon after a Knee operation whilst I was in the military. The prognosis wasn’t brilliant; I was advised I would probably need to use a stick to walk.
Simon’s in-depth research into the procedure was the start of a long journey in which he constantly supported and motivated me.
Simon often ‘thinks outside the box’ when preparing rehabilitation programs, this kept me interested and encouraged throughout the 6-month phase of recovery.
He has a personable attitude to work and nothing is too much trouble to organise or adjust. I found myself looking forward to my sessions with Simon, despite the inevitable discomfort.
I am glad to say that I don’t have to use a stick to walk; a fact that I attribute to the physiotherapy regime that Simon put me through.
Simon has since helped me through 2 other soft tissue injuries and is my first point of contact for every niggle.”

“Simon’s expertise pinpointed the problem that I was experiencing with my ankle/foot and a correct diagnosis was made immediately.
I benefited greatly from the simple but effective exercises that I was given. My confidence in walking was restored.
Simon is an understanding and sympathetic Physio and I give him 10/10!”
